Andrew Deschere is a patent agent with a background in signal processing, mixed signal design, system optimization, computer control and feedback systems, computational techniques in electrical engineering, computer networks, microelectronic devices and circuits, analog and solid state circuits, acoustic sensing, electrodynamics, and smart sensors.

Prior to joining McNeely, Hare & War LLP, Mr. Deschere was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office where he reviewed inventions related to electrical transmission and interconnection systems.

Mr. Deschere was also a marine operations electronics engineer at Bluefin Robotics where he field-tested autonomous underwater vehicles in Boston Harbor. He performed electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting after vehicle failures, applying a diverse array of skills including analog circuits, Unix, MATLAB, and scripting.

Mr. Deschere graduated from George Washington University with a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with Minor in Oceanographic Engineering. While attending MIT, Mr. Deschere was an undergraduate research assistant in the MIT Marine Hydrodynamics Laboratory where he ran data acquisition, wrote MATLAB scripts for data processing, set up software on Windows and Unix systems, designed and constructed metal probe-positioning apparatus, and created reports to acquire a quotation for a complete redesign of water tunnel control system.

Mr. Deschere is familiar with Windows, Linux, Unix, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, various photo and video editing programs, MATLAB, SPICE, SolidWorks, Visio, networking; Languages: C, HTML, JavaScript, MIT Scheme (Lisp), TI Basic, BASIC Stamp, and some assembly. He is also conversant in French and some Japanese. He was President of Sigma Tau chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and a Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship leader.
